The 7 Mountain Mandate is a blueprint for the Church today.
The 7 Mountain Mandate is a “now” revelation to the Church worldwide and it is challenging long-held paradigms about the Gospel message, Church, and the role of believers in the societies in which they live.
Why should you lend an ear to the message of the 7 Mountain Mandate?
Have you ever had the feeling that there must be something more to the life of a Christian? If you are like me, when you got saved you were saved from something – sin – and to something – everlasting life. Clearly my salvation experience gave me a one-way ticket to heaven but as a ten year old girl, I still had a lot of living to do!
Could it be that the Church in the western world has been so busy focusing on proclaiming a message of the Gospel that brings salvation to the soul, forgiveness of sins, peace of mind concerning your eternal future to the detriment of the message of the Gospel of the Kingdom? Have we forsaken our responsibility to the rest of the world, the nations that we are called to teach and bring under the influence of God’s Kingdom?
The problem? When the Church primarily preaches a vision for what to do with sin, Sundays and the after-life there’s a lack of powerful vision for what to do with the rest of life here and now.
The answer? This is where the Gospel of the Kingdom comes in. Jesus’ first, last and main message was the Kingdom which is much larger than what the Church has typically addressed. This is the issue of the day. We are contending for a major transitional shift in the mind-set of the Church to include the fullness of the Gospel of the Kingdom as Jesus taught it to include the discipling of whole nations.
Matthew 28:18-20 – “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations , baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”” Our responsibility in obedience to the Great Commission is to Preach the Gospel of Salvation and Teach the Gospel of the Kingdom to bring about the cultural transformation of nations so that nations look like Heaven on earth.
